On 2-3 October 2024, we had a great pleasure to host Lt Gen (R) Muhammad Asghar, CEO of Qarshi Knowledge City and Saima Asghar, Deputy Director, Global Engagement Division, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, in Finland last week. Muhammad Asghar, also former rector of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) – the leading tech university in Pakistan, is creating a knowledge city in Lahore, and met with all the key persons around Turku Science Park Ltd – nowadays Business Turku – to discuss e.g. about best models for university-company relations, models supporting research based new companies, and structures to run and develop the required real estates and supporting functions.
