Mr. Wille Eerola, Hon. Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and Chairman of FPBC in Finland, visited the campus of National University of Technology (NUTECH)in Islamabad on December 8. Visit was hosted by Rector Khalid Asgharand other team members of the Nutech’s management and was the next step in the process of developing skill training programs as discussed earlier by Mr. Hassan Raza, Chairman of FPBC in Pakistan and representatives of Nutech.

Hon. Consulate General and Finland Pakistan Business Council are now actively working for cooperation on skill and vocational training between Finland and Pakistan. “This is an area where Finnish vocational institutes have plenty to give to their colleagues in Pakistan. Lack of technical staff in construction sectors, automotive industries, healthcare and further trained and skilled people e.g. in hospitality and nursing is just phenomenal and that gap is something I am personally pushing both sides to tackle now”, Wille Eerola says. “Next delegation is coming to Finland in January and the goal is to start concrete cooperation in just couple of months, so not just talks and visit but real cooperation for youth in Pakistan!”.

Rector Khalid Asghar thanked HCG Wille Eerola for a visit at NUTECH campus in Islamabad.
