MoU Signed between FPBC and SMEDA in Pakistan
Finland Pakistan Business Council (FPBC) and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority of Pakistan (SMEDA) signed a comprehensive Memory of Understanding (MoU) to support social entrepreneurship, enterprise creation and SME sector development in Pakistan. Under the MoU, incubation / innovation centers, social enterprise challenge fund as well as developing business linkages between Pakistani and Finnish businesses would be established.
#There is a need for developing meaningful collaboration with development partners and Smeda’s partnership with Finland Pakistan Business Council would go a long way in developing co-operation between the two countries and promotion of entrepreneurship in Pakistan.”, said Mr. Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera, Chief Executive Officer of SMEDA.
“Professional entrepreneurship is a really like a fast-track to create new jobs and wealth in emerging markets like Pakistan. Such professionalism requires support in management, R&D, sales and marketing and also funding and that is what we are aiming to do with incubator and innovator centers with SMEDA. This is very fundamental approach where we do believe entrepreneurship can develop also society and that’s where Finnish companies and entrepreneurs can help. Especially I am welcoming women entrepreneurship in both countries to work together”, says Mr. Wille Eerola, Chairman of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council.
The MoU was signed by Smeda Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera and Vice Chairman of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council Mr. Hassan Raza.
